Bugs, viruses and infections aren’t the only things that can lead to poor health. There are a number of different factors that can contribute to you feeling “not quite right.” This article will explore what can cause poor health so that you can change, adapt and feel better.
Stress
Chronic stress is one of the most recognised and common factors contributing to poor health. Despite this, it is also one of the most difficult to control. Chronic stress causes adrenal exhaustion, which hinders your ability to adapt to situations in your life. This can leave you feeling worn out, stressed, overwhelmed, and even depressed.
A study has also shown a link between chronic stress and immune system deficiency and dysregulation. This can increase the vulnerability to infectious diseases and autoimmune disease.
Nutritional Deficiencies
With modern food production and processed foods, there can be very scarce amounts of nutrients in a lot of what we eat, if any at all. Consumers are on average 50% more nutritionally deficient than 50 years ago. Even one nutritional deficiency can cause adverse effects to your health and simple problems can become more problematic. A combination of nutritional deficiencies may result in chronic diseases.
Excessive Toxicity
Removing toxins from your life isn’t always possible, especially because the world we live in has increasing amounts of pollution which can cause a lot of pain and suffering. Our bodies can naturally detoxify, but with so many pollutants in our system, it is causing our bodies to become burdened with the toxins that it may have once been able to cleanse itself of. With excessive toxins in the water we drink, the air we breathe and the food we eat, not to mention the vaccines that our parents are forced to give us as children, it’s no wonder our bodies break down and become overcome with disease.
Poor Sleep
Sleep is necessary to allow our bodies to regenerate, and rest is essential for fighting off illness. Lack of sleep can also cause you to be more stressed as your brain cannot function in the way that it should be able to – making you feel slow and sluggish.
Lack of Movement/Blood Flow
Not being active enough is another way that we can become sick. Stagnation can occur if your blood isn’t flowing sufficiently and this can affect your muscles, organs, tendons, and tissues by not releasing as many nutrients into the body.
Disconnect from the Basics
By disconnecting from all these basic human needs, and seeing them more as an option than a necessity, we can make ourselves very ill. A healthy lifestyle and a healthy mind are the keys to living a long happy, and healthy life. We take what we have for granted when one day – a lot sooner than you think – it will be gone. Don’t spend the prime of your life feeling ill, tired and not 100%.
